SUMMER PROGRAM ASSISTANT
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Summer Program Coordinator and Director of Service Delivery
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This individual will assist in the planning and implementation of summer programs, including working with children and youth, facilitating, providing transportation, and fundraising as designated.
QUALIFICATIONS: This individual shall be 21 years of age or older and currently a full-time student, additionally the candidate will need to be attending secondary or post-secondary education in the fall of 2017 preferably in the field of the human sciences, education, social work, marketing or in a health and fitness field.
KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

possess excellent organizational and time management skills
good oral and written communication skills
be available to work some weekends and flexible hours
computer skills
be able to follow direction
have the ability to work in an unsupervised setting
highly motivated and energetic
valid drivers license and good driving abstract
Willing to travel to other offices, located in Regina and Moose Jaw. Must have own transportation
1st Aid and CPR training, an asset
Must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Must be a Canadian resident
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning: Assist in the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of summer programming and activities that meet the needs and interests of a diverse group of students, potential and current volunteers.
Program Delivery: Assisting in the supervision of the program in a manner conductive to the involvement/interaction, enjoyment and safety of all participants. Assist with planning and implementation of fundraising initiatives as required for program delivery.
