Summer Student JobWe are currently looking for support professionals that would be able to provide quality care and behavioural management programs.
The Child and Youth Worker will be required to provide one-on-one support to a child with behavioural challenges.
The Child and Youth worker will work collaboratively with ECE workers to facilitate improved behaviours.
Qualifications required
-Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
-A satisfactory Criminal Record Check
-Current First Aid and CPR certification
-Experience working with children and youth group.
-Requirements include some post secondary education in Youth Care Work, Social Work, Counselling, Early Child Educator or other related disciplines and/ or 1-2 years previous work experience with children and behaviours.
- At least one season/summer of experience working with children/youth with behavioural challenges.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
- Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma
- Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma

- Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders)
- Early intervention programming for at-risk youth
- Programs dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder

- Implement behaviour management programs
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs

- 5-10 people
