In the Foreman role, you will report to the PBN Site Superintendent and direct a crew of operators and labourers, oversee the quality and safety of workmanship.
More specifically, you will:
Have a comprehensive understanding of scope of work, the importance of schedule adherence and productivity rates;
Mentor PBN employees to ensure OH&S policies, industry standards and Client quality standards are adhered to;
Follow project plans and schedules and ensure the construction teams daily and weekly activities meet production goals;
Work with the Site Superintendent to coordinate resource requirements;
Completion of daily reports, timecards, and field reports;
Conduct regular meetings with crews;
Maintain accountability for the safety of the construction team;
Lead the crews by example and be willing/capable of operating various pieces of heavy equipment;
Other duties as assigned.
In order to qualify for this role, you will need the following:
A minimum of 10 years proven relevant Civil/Earthwork experience which must include culvert install and road building
A strong commitment to capacity building and knowledge transfer to PBN employees;
Certificates in WHMIS, Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate, Fire Extinguisher and SCOT;
Heavy Equipment Operator Certificates & experience on heavy equipment;
Strong interpersonal & communication skills;
Knowledge of computer applications and office administration procedures;
