Description

Pinehouse Business North (PBN) is a northern Saskatchewan Aboriginal owned & operated company and is currently seeking an operator with a 3A or 1A licence. This position is based out of northern Saskatchewan with a rotational work schedule.  Flexibility in travelling to a remote work site will be required.
Responsibilities:  Ensure Truck & Trailers are operated efficiently, maintained, and in compliance with the company safety program; Abiding by Company rules & safety regulations, you will perform and accurately complete all required paperwork i.e. Daily Timesheets, Pre-Job Hazard Assessments, Equipment pre-use inspections; Ensure equipment is maintained according to company maintenance program; Must wear all appropriate PPE, follow direction, remain alert & maintain a high level of concentration &  limitations of the equipment
Applicants must have the following: A valid class 3A or 1A driver's licence; Experience hauling heavy equipment to remote northern sites; Experience hauling aggregate; Experience operating heavy equipment (loader, dozer, excavator considered an asset); Ability to work out of town on a modified work schedule; Power Mobile Equipment Training; Competency certification; Must have a clean drivers abstract.  Must be able and willing to work in physically demanding conditions & perform physical labour, including heavy lifting & climbing; Self-motivated to complete tasks, adaptable to changing work situations; An individual with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude who is reliable and dependable respects and welcomes diversity of employees; Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions; Resident of Saskatchewan's North is considered an asset; A strong commitment to capacity building & knowledge transfer to PBN employees is a requirement.
