What is a Group Fitness Instructor?
A Group Fitness Instructor provides safe and enjoyable instruction and leadership for participants in our Group Fitness,and cycling programs.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold up-to-date certifications and provide copies of these at the time of interview.
- Current Fitness Certification (Personal Training (PTS), Group Fitness Instructor (FIS) from a recognized organizing body) as required by the discipline to be instructed.
- Must possess and maintain current certification in CPR Level C + AED. (This must be clearly identified on your resume.)
- Minimum of six(6) months of instructional experience in a related field.
- Proven knowledge of the theories and practices associated with the teaching of skills, technique and equipment used in fitness programs and according to the best practices and standards of their governing body.
- Must be physically capable to demonstrate program techniques to the public in specified program area.
- Must have the ability to work with varied age groups and abilities.
Our Ideal Candidate:
MOSSA Certification (or must be willing to complete)
CanFit Pro FIS/SPRA (or nationally accredited certification)
C.P.R. Certification
