Description

Welcome to a fresh new positive environment
We are looking for an individual who is energetic, creative, flexible, a team player and passionate about working with children to join our team in a full time position.

ECE level 2, or 3 certification is preferred, however not required. We are seeking individuals who will draw on their knowledge and experience to benefit the children and the center as a whole.  Roles include but are not limited to programming for children ages 3 years of age and older, setting up and taking care of the environment so children are successful, guiding childrens behaviour in a means that builds on childrens self esteem and teaches them how to make positive choices, and light cleaning duties.

 

Skills and Abilities

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - First Aid Certificate
 - Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate
 - Food Safe Certificate
 - Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
Early Childhood Education Skills
 - Knowledge of licensing regulations
Additional Skills
 - Maintain day care supplies and equipment
 - Assist in maintaining records of children
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
 - Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
 - Prepare and serve snacks
 - Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
 - Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
 - Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
 - Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
 - Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
 - Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
