Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position is available on September 1, 2017, and start date is negotiable.
Applicants must possess a D.V.M. degree or its equivalent and must be eligible for licensure with the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association. Candidates must be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) or have credentials acceptable to the ACVIM at the time the appointment takes effect. ACVIM Board certification is required for tenure. Previous academic experience and an advanced research degree are desirable.
The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include: high quality instruction in small animal internal medicine to undergraduate and graduate veterinarians; organizational responsibility and participation in the clinical teaching and service programs of the Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary Medical Centre; delivery of continuing education to practicing veterinarians; and scholarship and research in small animal internal medicine. Extensive opportunities for collaborative research exist within the College and University (College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, College of Dentistry, and College of Kinesiology).
Salary ranges: fAssistant Professor $93,293.00-112,109.00; Associate Professor $112,109.00-130,925.00.
