Northlands College will be offering a Bachelor of Education program beginning in the fall of 2017. We are currently recruiting for an instructor who will work as a team dedicated to the success of students who are pursuing their Bachelor degree. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teach courses in assigned program area, Develop syllabi that clearly outline the course requirements, rationale, goals and objectives,select textbooks and other resources for the class. Prepare class sessions and assignments to help students grasp course content and how it integrates with overall student learning outcomes for the course,Create a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation. Visit, evaluate, and provide feedback to students in the field. Travel to remote communities, including travel on gravel roads and overnight stays will be required, and all other duties as assigned.
The minimal requirements for this position is a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Masters of Education Degree in one of the following: Curriculum, Educational Administration, Education Foundations or Educational Psychology. The ideal candidate will also have a minimum of five years of experience teaching, preferably in northern Saskatchewan. A thorough understanding of northern Saskatchewan Indigenous culture is a definite asset. A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered. Successful candidates must meet the requirements of the accrediting university.
