Description

Brandt is continuing to grow and expand our business and we are looking for hard-working, creative individuals to join our team.  We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician,  for our Agricultural Division.

The Quality Assurance Technician identifies & investigates non-conformances; inspects & reports on product, process and equipment for conformance to specifications; assists in quality improvement projects and contributes to all other Quality related activities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for inspecting received goods, in-process & final products
Investigate and report on supplier, production and customer non-conformances or failures
Maintain non-conformance reports and assist/mentor others to improve with corrective and preventative actions
Maintain and develop Standard Operating Procedures where applicable to Quality
May perform tool and equipment calibrations
Assist in development of QA standards and procedures
Other duties may be assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Good peoples skills with an open mind to drive/assist stakeholders into seeking Quality.
Positive attitude aimed to maintain a high customer satisfaction level (internal or external)
Required familiarity with QA/QC principles and where possible Lean practices.
Must be able to read Shop Drawings.
Dexterity in using measuring instruments and/or shop related tools.
Familiar with Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Word and other computer use in general.
Must be well organized with multi-tasking abilities.
A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.



QUALIFICATIONS:
Some higher education or degree from a college, university, or technical school considered an asset
Able to effectively communicate in both technical and user-friendly language when appropriate, with all types of staff, including technical, professional and upper management.
Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
