Description

The Bea Fisher Centre Inc. is in need of a DIRECT CARE WORKER for our Residential Division at ABORIGINAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT.

Our candidate must be service oriented, flexible, patient, and caring.  Experience working with people with disabilities, including various behaviors would be an asset.    

Must be confident, out-going and be comfortable in speaking with employers for possible employment opportunities for individuals.  

Must take initiative and be comfortable being out in the public.

Hours:
*  33 wake hours per week, shift rotation to include alternate weekends, with flexibility to meet employment needs.
*  Average 24 hours in residential and 9 hours employment.
            
Qualifications:     Disabilities Studies or Rehab Diploma preferred (Equivalencies considered).
                             Personal care responsibilities required.
                             Behavior Management experiences an asset.
                             Knowledge in aboriginal culture and affairs preferred.
                             Valid First Aid/CPR certificate required.
                             Valid Class 5 Driver?s License and vehicle required.
