Description

We are seeking an interim Recreation Manager who will be empowered to support & enhance community development initiatives for Kindersley & entire region through increasing awareness & participation in recreation programs & events.

The Manager of Recreation will provide strong leadership & exceptional customer service to assist with the management of the West Central Events Centre (WCEC). Working closely with stakeholders & the Director of Community Services, the Manager will offer or facilitate numerous year-round recreation programs & services.  The Manager of Recreation will assist with the development of Kindersley's new indoor aquatic facility, which will be constructed beside the WCEC.

This is a Temporary Full-Time position that is filling a maternity leave vacancy.  The  experience gained from this temporary position may make the successful candidate qualified for future permanent postings.

Required Knowledge & Education:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Recreation, Physical Education, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years management experience is preferred
- Valid SK Class 5 driver's license
- Strong communication, integration, problem-solving & interpersonal skills
- Excellent ability to work with staff, customers & community groups to create a positive experience, & must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service delivery skills
- Exceptional time management & project management skills with a strong attention to detail & the ability to multitask.
