Prairie Land and Bison Co. in Windthorst, SK is seeking
2 Livestock Farm Workers and 1 Swine Technician
Wages: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Full-time
Benefits, Health Insurance, Dental and Life Insurance
Assistance with accommodation provided.
Duties will include:
Daily feeding, watering and care of livestock
Sorting, tagging, weighing and veterinary care
Produce feed using equipment such as seeder, swather and baler
Maintaining and building fence and facilities
Performing other general farm duties as required.
Requirements:
Must have experience with pigs, bison or goats.
Experience operating and maintaining equipment
Can work alone or as part of a team and is reliable and hard working
Completed high school
Physical fitness
Speak, Read and Write English
Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent)
Swine Technician will be required to perform
Daily feeding, watering and care of pigs
Sorting, tagging, and weighing, cleaning pens
Monitor the health and well being of pigs
Ensure that water is available and pigs are fed the correct amount and type of feed
Monitor barn environments including temperature and air movement
Load Pigs for Transport
Maintain equipment and buildings
