Role Summary:
Our client, a leader in Commercial and Industrial Fire and Security solutions, is currently recruiting for the position of a CERTIFIED Security System Service Technician in SK. The main duties of this opportunity are to carry out inspections, repairs and maintenance of security alarm systems installed at our customers site(s). In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of various emergency systems such as lighting and protective systems.
The Role:
Perform the duties of the maintenance contracts, service calls, and 24 hours emergency service calls
Communicate with the customer and determines the nature of the problem or trouble with the commercial or residential system
Independently perform quality service, maintenance and recommend improvements
Test and commission systems to ensure that the service performed was successful
Train customers on the operation and proper use of the system in takeover situations and instruct customers on the basic working knowledge of the system
Complete various reports and documents related to the work performed
The Ideal Candidate:
Possess valid Provincial Driver's License
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in the electronics field or a related discipline
At least 2 - 3 years of experience servicing alarm systems
Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships
Self-motivator with a positive outlook
Post-secondary Education in Electronics Technology Preferred
General knowledge of Electronics and general use of hand tools
Excellent problem solving skills
Highly organized and able to work under pressure
Strong telephone skills in order to solve customer problems over the phon
