Special Education Teacher will be responsible for: student assessments; Completing Individual Education Plans for students; working with specialists; completing reports for students; individual and small group instruction; co-teaching; support to classroom teachers in planning and developing adaptive programs; instructional support for educational assistants; communication with parents, staff, team members and outside agencies. INAC reporting will also be the responsibility of the special education teacher.
Requirements:
-Saskatchewan Professional A teachers certificate
-Additional Qualification Certificate (AQC) in Special Education or working towards certification or post-graduate classes in Special Education is an asset
-Successful teaching experience with diverse or intensive needs students is an asset
-Excellent verbal, written and technological communications skills required.
-Experience with INAC funding and reporting is considered an asset
-Criminal Record Check (CPIC) and a Vulnerable Sector Check must be provided
-Knowledge and understanding of First Nations Communities and their culture
