QUALIFICATIONS:
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to get)
- Food Safe (or willingness to get)
- Acceptable criminal record check

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work cooperatively & effectively as a team member by communicating & contributing information on a continuous basis
- Plan & provide activities & opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration & problem solving appropriate to the development of the children
- Model developmentally appropriate activities & positive behaviour management techniques through daily contact with children & EC staff in the classroom
- Maintain open, friendly & cooperative relationship with each child's family, encouraging their involvement in the program.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current child development practices
- Observe children for signs of learning disabilities or emotional problems & report concerns to Director
- Help children clean up after activities & generally tidy up center
- Assist in housekeeping duties (sanitization) & cook duties when necessary
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure parents fill out attendance form
- Administer medicine as required on the "Medication Request Form"
- Document injuries on "Injury Report Form"; have parents sign them
- Submit time cards
PROFESSIONALISM RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to the "Child Day Care Regulations"
- Maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrate behaviour that is professional, ethical & responsible
- Attend staff & general meetings, parent education meetings, workshops & other conferences proved to be beneficial for your performance at the center
- Maintain appropriate work habits such as punctuality & regular attendance
Wages are competitive & dependant upon ECE Level and experience
