Adecco Saskatoon is currently recruiting for a General Manager to join our clients' organization in North Battleford.  

With a team of over 25 employees including a strong management team of a Shop Foreman, Sales Manager and Drafting Manager, the incumbent will oversee plant operations to include quality control, health & safety, daily manufacturing work flow as well as people planning.  You will be accountable for obtaining the performance objectives of the organization including revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational improvements through your direct reports. With full P&L responsibility, you will direct strategic and operational initiatives to effectively grow the business and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:
-  Manages and directs all aspects of Plant Operations, Sales, Procurement, Customer Service, Quality and Administration in a manner that results in the complete satisfaction of customers while maintain the stated financial goals.
- Consults with the Foreman and Shop Supervisors regarding labor forecasts, manufacturing schedules, inventory levels.  
- Employs strategic development and growth initiatives.
- Recommends new approaches to manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for overall health and safety procedures.
- Oversee procurement activities and direct the negotiations of major procurement contracts to provide proper cost, delivery and quality commitments.
- Take a lead role and work in conjunction with the Sales Manager in identifying and developing new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:
- 7 plus years management related experience in a manufacturing/line production environment; steel industry experience is an asset.
- Engineering or related technical or trade background.
- Strong communicator with an open style of leadership; hand on in their approach and is a strong decision maker.
