Description

Adecco Saskatoon is currently recruiting for a Control and Automation Programmer for our client based in Humboldt, SK.  Our client is constantly looking at new technologies to expand their business and streamline their processes and you will be joined an experienced team where you will have responsibilities for configuring and programming equipment, while analyzing and making recommendations to improve processes.

The ideal candidate will be a recent colleage or university graduate in electrical or electronic engineering technology or a related field.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Configuration and programming of most major brands of PLC, HMI/SCADA equipment, including Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Citect, GE, etc.
- Ability to program in Ladder Logic language.
- Troubleshoot and maintain existing systems.
- On-site installations and commissioning.
- Instrumentation set-up / calibration.
- Update and develop AutoCAD drawings.
- Travel to site locations and assist in servicing / troubleshooting performance problems associated with the product line and installations.
- Responsible for operator training, which would include ongoing training on the operation of existing installed company equipment.

This opportunity is based in Humboldt and will require traveling to sites in remote locations (approximate 1-2 overnights weekly). This role has primarily Monday to Friday work hours.

Key requirements include:
- Recent college or university graduate in electrical or electronic engineering technology or a related field
- Valid drivers license and be prepared to travel to all sites including remote locations
- Strong computer skills are essential
- High level of proficiency in both oral and written communication skills
