Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a world-leading producer of agricultural products and one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers" to recruit for an Outside Sales Representative  Crop Input.

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for selling fertilizer, seed and crop protection products and building productive, long-term relationships with farm customers by helping them overcome farming challenges.

The Role:

Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer  businesses
Partner with Grain Marketing and Agronomy Advisors to identify customers and sell consulting services
Manage customer credit and accounts receivables
Create and deliver on a well-defined weekly customer call plan
Participate in weekly customer focus meetings
Capture sales information accurately using the Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce)
Work to continuously increase your knowledge of Agriculture, Agronomy, and  Grain Marketing products and services

The Ideal Candidate:

Industry relevant post-secondary education in Business or Agriculture or equivalent work experience
Persistent and highly developed selling skills
Ability to identify opportunities and prospects, build customer relationships and close sales
Strong planning skills, including the ability to segment markets, target and analyze customer potential
Possess a Canadian Drivers License
Preference will be given to candidates with a strong working knowledge of the Canadian agricultural system including grain marketing, grain transportation and crop production practices
