Yard Manager
McDougall Auctioneers Ltd. is a family owned and operated Auction Business that has been in operation for over 30 years. We are growing and are looking for an energetic and organized person to become our Yard Manager.
FT Position to start ASAP:
- Looking for a mature, friendly, and organized person available immediately to fill the position of Yard Manager.
- Hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday-Friday with a 1 hour lunch and Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m.; Overtime may be required as needed
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading of Incoming Freight and Customer Pickups
- Set Up of Items in Yard for Viewing
- Lotting and Listing of Items in Yard
- Completing Inventory Counts Upon Arrival of Items
- Keep Delivery Log of all Drop Offs within the Yard
- Weekly Recording and Reporting of Sold Items Not Picked Up
- Some Heavy Lifting is Required
- Other Duties as Required
Requirements:
- Candidates with Experience Driving Forklifts and Skidsteers will be Given Preference
- Strong Organizational and Interpersonal Skills and the Ability to Demonstrate These
- Ability to Work Both Independently and as Part of a Team
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to Cope with Pressure and Deadlines
- Self-motivated with an Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Flexible to Adapt to Ever Changing Situations that Arise
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Able to Cope with the Physical Demands of the Job
