Responsibilities:
Purchase materials, services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedure
Identify and select vendor to purchase requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, safety and delivery date
Use the appropriate commercial terms when creating RFQ's and purchase contracts
Administration of purchase transactions and contracts
Stacking, counting, and placing goods in accordance with the warehouse organizational plan
Maintaining inventory levels and records
Prepare procurement reports and documentation as required
Develop and implement strategic and operational approaches for the procurement of materials and services
Develop market knowledge and contacts for products and services.
Qualifications:
Business degree or equivalent post-secondary is an asset
Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is an asset
3-5 years procurement experience in the construction industry
Strong interpersonal skills
Superior skills in developing relationships with vendors, internal clients, and co-workers
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Valid Saskatchewan drivers license.
