Description

North Battleford is a progressive, thriving community on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River.  It is the regional hub for healthcare, government services, education and affordable housing with many professional opportunities for spouses and children.

The Battlefords Housing Authority oversees 629 residential dwelling units.  We are recruiting for a full-time permanent Maintenance Worker (Buildings & Grounds) to join our maintenance team.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Contract Supervisor you will:    
-complete work orders for minor repairs.
-grounds keeping  including snow removal
-conduct daily building checks
-assist tradesman to prepare vacant units for occupancy.

What were looking for:
-enrollment in the Carpentry Apprenticeship program (preferred)
-knowledge of residential carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, building systems, painting, basic understanding of trades & material, grounds keeping
-pride in workmanship
-competent in using computers & technology
-ability to work as a team player with co-workers, sub-trades & tenants

What you will need:
-minimum Grade 12 education
-5+ years experience in residential construction
-valid class 5 Drivers License
-respect for the diversity of others.
