Description

The North Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre is a non-profit, charitable, community based corporation. NSILC started in 1991 and is one of the 25 such centres across Canada that promotes the independence of people with disabilities. NSILC promotes the integration of people with disabilities and has a minimum of 51% of the people directly involved in the management and decision making have a disability of some kind. There are many programs, resources and services that we have to offer regardless of the disability. NSILC receives funding from the Federal Government, donations, fundraising and grants.

The Marketing and Funraising Coordinator is responsible for ongoing soliciting of businesses to purchase advertising space in NSILC's monlthy Coffee publication. The Coordinator is responsible for seeking ongoing commitment from businesses around Saskatoon to become delivery/drop locations for the publications. The Coordinator is responsible for delivering to locations across Saskatoon at the beginning of each month and thus must have their own source of transportation. Must create and maintain contract agreements between NSILC and the advertising sponsors as well between NSILC and the delivery locations. Maintain monthly progress updates to the Executive Director and the businesses involved with purchasing advertising space in the publication.  

The Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for all marketing and promotional activities such as social media and event promotions. The Coordinator schedules and organizes community fundraisers and events following the independent living philosophy and cross disability mandate. Will also attend events and training opportunities as needed.
