1. Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance accounts using Quickbooks Pro. Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance, maintain general ledger and prepare monthly financial statements.
2. Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and prepare T4s. Complete and submit GST and PST tax remittance, workers compensation, payroll remittances and other government documents.
.3 Prepare and issue monthly invoices. Assist with collection of late accounts. Pay approved invoices.
4. Maintain bank account records, reconcile bank accounts.
5. Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports using Quickbooks Pro and Excel worksheets. Assist tax accountant with preparation of year end calculations.
6. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and have a good telephone manner. Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested. Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary.
Qualifications:
Completion of two years of a recognized professional accounting program (ie. Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting) or several years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk is required.
