Chief Mistawasis School requires Elementary and Middle Years Teacher(s) for the 2017- 2018 academic year.
Chief Mistawasis School is K.4-8 with approximately 180 students. Provincial (STF) teacher salary grid is followed, and a comprehensive benefits package and pension plan is available.
We are currently seeking a diverse and creative individuals that has the ability to create a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for upper elementary grade education in accordance with each students ability; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.
Requirements:
Minimum education degree (B.Ed.)
Saskatchewan Teachers Professional A certificate
Proven leadership capabilities
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and with other agencies.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must possess good working knowledge of computer technology.
Understanding and awareness of local cultural milieu:
Must practice a healthy life-style Mandatory Drug and Alcohol Testing required.
Valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle.
Requires strong human relations skills and the ability to work with people and students in conflict situation.
Be able to understand and/or speak the Cree language is an asset
Valid Standard First Aid, CPR
