The Banquets Supervisor is a detail oriented leader focused on providing and creating outstanding guest experiences and providing excellent guest service at all functions in the Banquet Department. As a member of the Banquet Team, the Banquet Supervisor is responsible for leading the team in the execution of all banquet functions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service function from set-up to breakdown.
Job Accountabilities:
Provides direction and oversight to all Banquets functions and processes to ensure they are executed in a manner that exceeds guest expectations
Be knowledgeable of all department procedures, applicable government regulations, training procedures, scheduling, and time sheets
Be fully knowledgeable of the goals and objectives of the department, and communicate these goals and objectives to your team members, and assist your team in achieving them
Conduct regular performance appraisals and performance management as necessary, focusing on associate growth and development
Collaborate with other departments in the hotel in order to maximize revenue, efficiencies, and guest service satisfaction
Education, Experience, & Skills:
2 or more years experience in hospitality or a comparable service industry previous supervisory experience an asset
Must be legal age to serve alcohol
Demonstrated ability to modify, and understand financial information, data and basic arithmetic functions
Computer skills and knowledge of various programs, Delphi an asset
