Description

Maplehurst Bakeries Inc. a division of Weston Foods Canada is a proud Canadian company operating for over 125 years.  We are the national bakery leader producing a wide variety of fresh and frozen baked goods found in grocery stores, convenience stores, supermarket in-store bakeries and food service outlets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform the overhaul of bakery equipment and preventative maintenance duties.
Perform equipment adjustments and changeovers as required
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime when required
Attend required training
Must adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3-5 years of industrial mechanical experience. Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is a definite asset.
Industrial Millwright Ticket preferred (willing to train). Possesses a strong mechanical aptitude.
In-depth familiarity and proven track record working with assets include machine shop practices (lathe & milling machines), welding (ARC, TIG, MIG), basic electrical, and working knowledge on pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a highly organized fashion with attention to detail and accuracy.
Available to work shifts and weekends.
Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility will be an asset.
Physically capable of performing the demands of the job
Demonstrates safe working practices and procedures
Available for overtime as required.
Communicates with the rest of the maintenance team and plant personnel when resolving problems.
Self-directed, able to make decisions that are result oriented.
Exercises sound judgement and maintains a professional demeanor
