Description

This position will be responsible to analyze Service Line trends and recommend business improvement actions. Support Service Line Controller and Service Line Vice Presidents in supporting the business. Support Service Line strategic review initiatives for acquisition or growth.
Responsibilities may include:
Co-ordinate month end activities and prepare financial package for the area.
Ensure compliance of internal controls
Assemble budgets and forecasts.
Responsible for close activities within the region.
Manage the accounting team within the area.
Assist in the development and implementation of process changes.
Conduct month end activities including cost accruals, revenue recognition, WIP updates and variance analysis.
Prepare additional reporting and analysis as required by senior management


Minimum Requirements:

4 years of Accounting or Finance Degree

Professional Designation; CA, CMA, CGA or equivalent work experience

A minimum of 10 years in a Senior Finance role; related and progressively responsible professional accounting experience including full cycle accounting

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Excel is required


Preferred Requirements:

Previous experience with construction, manufacturing and trucking industries would be a definite asset.

Previous experience preparing financial statements would be a definite asset.

Job costing, financial analysis and financial reporting in heavy industrial, large ticket/cost environment, operations.

Proficiency with computerized accounting software programs, preferably J.D.E.
