A surgical practice in Regina, SK, is seeking a highly motivated administrative professional to manage all aspects of our friendly and fast-paced medical office. This opportunity offers a great deal of autonomy and the freedom to develop and continually evolve your role. Ideal hours for the role are weekdays, 8am-4pm with some flexibility. Start date is immediate.
Responsibilities:
- Create an exceptional first impression for patients and staff by greeting everyone with an upbeat and positive attitude.
- Professionally answer all incoming phone calls. Take detailed notes for staff and appropriately escalate urgent matters.
- Coordinate procedure scheduling with patients, surgeon and the hospital.
- Accurately manage patient information and medical charts in Accuro.
- Complete surgeon billing in a timely manner following procedures.
- Perform daily office organization and upkeep. Ensure the reception area is welcoming and in showroom condition at all times.
Qualifications:
- Office Education or Medical Office Assistant certificate is required. Experience may not be substituted for the education requirement.
- 2+ years of previous experience in a highly visible Receptionist or Administrative Assistant role in a medical office.
- Energetic, positive, friendly and upbeat personality is a must.
- Advanced knowledge of Accuro and MS Office Products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, both in physical and electronic workspace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
