Comp # 2017-027Jun- Member Service Representative I (Casual) - Archerwill, Bjorkdale, Rose Valley

DEPARTMENT:

The primary purpose of the member services department is to provide a variety of routine cash and non-cash related products and services to members and potential members with accuracy and courtesy. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, the Member Service Representative I will process member transactions, deliver effective member information, promote and cross sell credit union deposit services and make appropriate referrals. This is a "casual" position, as such there is no set or guaranteed number of hours in any given pay period; scheduling and location of work will be determined by the immediate manager to the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have Grade 12 plus Post-Secondary education and up to one year related experience.  An understanding of the features and benefits of Credit Union products and services would be beneficial.  Ability to recognize cross selling opportunities, make sales or refer sales, effective cash handling skills and strong verbal and written communication skills is required.  A commitment to continuous learning and development is required.
