Our industrial sandblasting & painting department at Three Star Trucking offers a wide variety of services to meet customer needs and complete satisfaction. We are currently looking for one skilled industrial painter/sandblaster. Minimum of 1 year experience is required. Preference will be given to those with automotive /heavy truck body work experience and with a level 1 nace certificate or greater. The painter/sandblaster will demonstrate Three Star Trucking?s capabilities in high quality and safe performance of work. Will also demonstrated reliability, excellent attention to detail, hard work ethic, good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Understand and completing surface preparation for sandblasting and automotive /heavy truck body repair.
- Sandblasting, Painting/coating tank trailers (inside and out), skids, platforms, trailers, truck frames and body etc. with 1-3 years? experience.
- Reading and understanding standards such as NACE, ASTM, SSPC etc., product data sheets, msds sheets.
- Able to trouble shoot and repair equipment such as paint pumps, sandblasting equipment etc. able to problem solve with minimal supervision.
- Maintaining inventory count required per job.
- Participating with facility maintenance, clean up of blast shed, paint shop, paint booth etc.
- Move trailers around the yard, drive machinery around the yard such as zoom booms, skid steers etc.
- Know how to set up and prepare sandblasting machine, paint pumps for spraying and inspection tools.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license.
- Able to work alone without minimal supervision.
- Able to lift 50lbs or more, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting.
- Great organizational skills and housekeeping skills in the work area.
- Respect towards themselves and others around them. Also to the facility and all the equipment in the facility.
