Assistant Director of Care (Part Time)
Applicants are invited to apply for the Assistant Director of Care at our 127 bed facility located in Moose Jaw, SK
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Assistant Director of Care ensures the provision of Quality care services for residents in keeping with the philosophy and policies of Extendicare. Assumes responsibility for Management of the Nursing service within the facility.

Responsibilities:
1- Responsible for the coordination of resident care and services:
a) Develop and monitor the delivery of resident care services
b) Ensure the implementation and evaluation of systems to meet the care needs of our residents
c) Through awareness and applicationof best practices
d) Establish positive relationships with residents and families and effectively manages expectations
e) Through critical thinking skills in analysis of clinical indicators

Qualifications:
Elligible for RN/RPN registration in Saskatchewan
Knowledge in the principles and philosophpy of long term care with the minimum 3 years experience
Previous managerial experience, preferably in a long term care setting
Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined
Abililty to supervise and direct the work of others
Demonstrates sound knowledge in the provision of resident centered care, best practice and quality improvement initiatives in long term care
Demonstrated leadership, planning, time management and communications skills
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel plus familiarity with the Minimum Data Set utilized in long term care
