Description

Permanent full-time position based in Saskatoon serving the assigned northern service area. Significant travel throughout the north is involved, with some travel outside the service area.

You will be part of a small, fun and dynamic team that works collaboratively with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health to deliver the public education and community development components of the provinces Problem Gambling Program.

As a Community Development Co-ordinator you are responsible for outreach, resource distribution and partnership development for a specified service area.  A large part of the position includes presentations and workshops to groups that include schools, post secondary institutions, business groups, service clubs, churches & human service agencies among others.

-  Have a strong background in public education and community development  
-  Have knowledge of gambling and problem gambling issues
-  Possess a university degree in the social sciences, social work, or a certificate in the addictions field or mental health field
-  Can demonstrate superlative organizational and time management skills, as well as be a self-starter
-  Work well in a small office environment.

You must be able to work flexible hours with a minimum of supervision.  As significant travel throughout the service area is involved, a valid drivers license is required. A clean Criminal Record Check is also required.
