Job title: YMCA Director, Beyond the Bell & Grant Writer
Reports to: YMCA Senior Director, Education Initiatives

Job purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and oversight to the YMCAs Beyond the Bell Program. Furthermore, a responsibility of this position will be seeking out potential new funding opportunities for various programs within the Community Development Department, which will require an aptitude for grant writing and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Beyond the Bell:
-Grant writing and reporting
-Outcomes and logic model creation, execution of data collection, sense-making of the collected information and communication of program successes
-Staff hiring, training and ongoing coaching
-Liaison to funders and with school administration
-Program communication (to staff, school, parents and maintaining Instagram account).
-Communicating with Parents regarding their childs behaviour, when additional disciplinary actions are required

Other Duties:
-An ongoing attention to finding new funding sources for YMCA Community Development Programs. This will involve an aptitude in grant management (writing applications, followup reporting, demonstrating program impact through Outcomes Measurements, etc).
-Additional special projects or events may arise

Qualifications:
-A Bachelor- level degree from an accredited post-secondary institution
-Experience in grant writing and reporting
Experience with Outcomes Measurements (Creation, Tracking and Reporting)
-Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
-Experience in managing budgets (projections, tracking expenses throughout the program)
-Experience in managing, mentoring and providing effective leadership to staff
-Program management experience
-Ability to work with youth is an asset
-Able to produce a Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
-First Aid & CPR are an asset
