Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, you shall manage & administer the post-secondary funds & keep full & accurate records.  Responsible for coordinating the Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP) funded through the Indigenous & Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) & supporting adult learners in pursuing & completing post-secondary education on & off reserve. Assist students in understanding funding policies, supporting students with the application process & throughout their educational years. Manage & maintain student accounts for tuition, books & living allowances according to INAC guidelines.  

Duties & Responsibilities:
-    Take the lead in processing student sponsorship applications & making student sponsorship decisions, ensuring students GPAs meet the minimum level, researching, screening & determining eligibility of student to enter various post-secondary programs according to the TCFN Post-Secondary Policy.
-    Incorporate creative strategies to explain the process, support students in accessing information from education institutions.
-    Assist individuals with the application & sponsorship process.  
-    Manage the funding budget.
-    Manage the external students sponsorship accounts for tuition, books & supplies.  
-    Liaise with institutes that sponsored students are attending.  
-    Develop an effective communication strategy (digital & print) to keep students apprised of relevant information.
-    Maintain efficient, confidential &organized record-keeping systems.  

Qualifications:  
-    Bachelors Degree in Education, Social Work or related degree, Masters Degree an asset;
-    3-5 years experience working in a First Nations Community;  
-    3-5 years experience coordinating programs & managing  budgets;  
-    Minimum 2 years of experience supporting/coaching students or clients to achieve goals;  
-    Microsoft Office 365 suite experience.
