Description

Langenburg & Dis. Act. Centre is looking for an energetic, positive, goal oriented, organized team player in our Esterhazy Group home  that can:
Provide programming that meets the needs of all participants including their emotional, mental and physical well-being, participant rights, social inclusion, self-determination, personal development, ad interpersonal relations.
Enhance participants overall quality of life through life skills, preferred activities, work skills, leisure activities, community activities and peer interactions based upon Langenburg and Districts mission, vision, policies and procedures.
Act as a positive role model and share personal talents and hobbies to create an inviting and exciting environment and overall social relationship with both participants and staff.
Maintain confidentiality.
Interact with participants in a respectful manner by offering choices, using communication devices or appropriate communication based on preferred method (i.e. visual schedules etc.) and providing options to create a meaningful relationship.
Ensure medications are provided and administered in a timely manner, as well as documented appropriately following medication training and policy
Assist in training staff in documentation, medication administration, positive and behavioral programming and any other training requested by Program Coordinator.
Be responsible for doing and delegating the overall upkeep of the house inside and outside (i.e cleaning, organizing, restocking, garbages etc.)
Schedule medical/optical/dental, hair and any other appointments for the participants and accompany, if appropriate and necessary as well as inform the program coordinator.
Orientate new staff and casuals and supervise all staff in the group home
