Olymel is adding an Accountant/Financial Analyst to its Finance team in Humboldt, SK to address expansion of its Western Canada Hog Production Sector.

This position will involve oversight of routine accounting functions as well as financial reporting, detailed analysis of costs and support of budget and year end audit activities as they relate to the entities that comprise the Western Canada Hog Production Sector.

Responsibilities include:
Assist in the timely reporting and analysis of financial information
Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Assist in implementing new systems and control procedures.
Support budget and forecasting activities.
Inventory management.
Oversee accurate and timely processing of transactions by finance team including A/P, A/R, payroll and journal entries.
Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
Assist in the development of efficiencies with emphasis on accuracy and enhancing the workflow of the department.
Provide training/mentoring to new and existing staff as needed.

Education and experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in a full cycle accounting system.
Minimum 2 years post-secondary education in the field of accounting or finance
