The Alex Robertson Public Library, in collaboration with La Ronge Arts Council, is seeking a creative and resourceful person to coordinate a series of art programs for children and adults in multiple locations. The successful candidate must be available weekdays in the late afternoon/early evening and on weekends. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and promoting the after-school art program at the Library and the evening and/or weekend art classes and workshops for the Arts Council. These will include classes to local schools, community groups, and the community at large. In addition, the Arts Program Coordinator will organize a community art event to wind up the program. The successful candidate must manage the purchase of art materials for multiple locations and for multiple age groups. Duties will include community outreach, record keeping and report writing, and scheduling and coordinating volunteers, instructors and participants in the art programs. Budgeting skills and materials management skills are also a must. Must be able to work independently; Police Record Name check and Vulnerable Sector check required.
