Yorkton Fas Gas is seeking 1-part time employee to work on a flexible schedule. To ensure success in this position, the candidate will need to have a good understanding of transactions involving cash, debit and credit with previous experience in the service sector.
In addition to these qualities, we require the candidate to have the following abilities:
Greet customers and provide excellent customer service at all times
Scan merchandise accurately
Describe current promotions and advertisements to customers
Handle payments by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit
Use electronic scanners, cash register, or computers
Give receipts, refunds, credits and assist customers
Must be very detail oriented
Open and close till at the beginning and end of each shift
Ensure that safe work practices are followed including using proper lifting techniques and keeping the register area clean
The candidate for this position must have the following skills and requirements:
Basic math skills
Detail oriented with a positive attitude
Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written
Must be punctual, dependable and hard working
Must be available to work on a rotating, flexible schedule for evening and/or weekend shifts
Self-confident, personable, energetic personality
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and demeanor
Potential candidates must be highly motivated, outgoing, confident and articulate.
