The Melville/Yorkton Housing Authority is seeking an Operations Manager. This position is responsible to plan, organize, manage, and oversee the day to day operations of the housing authority. Reporting to the General Manager, the key responsibility areas are:
Finance and Administration
Human Resources, Payroll, and management of the Yorkton Collective Agreement
Information Technology (all IT systems for the Authority)
The Operations Manager will have two direct reports. In addition, the Operations Manager will assume the responsibilities of the General Manager during any absences.
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree in business, commerce, or related degree from an accredited university or institution plus five years of operations experience from business, not-for-profit, or property management; or have a combination of education and experience. A property management designation is an asset but is not required.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience and knowledge in financial management, human resource management in a unionized setting; a solid understanding of payroll and benefits processing; knowledge of the various acts (Residential Tenancies, WCB, OH&S, Employment Act, etc.); are skilled using financial software (ie.JDEdwards or similar), and you are a whiz with MS Excel. You are a collaborator, skilled in critical thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution, a multi-tasker and superb communicator.
The position is based in Yorkton with regular travel to Melville.
