Description
We are a family run mixed farm with 12000 acres of grain and 120 head of Cattle. Farm is fully equipped and all major equipment is less than 3 years old. The farm has a modern 60' x 120' heated workshop and is located on a paved highway. We are looking for dedicated worker with farming background and knowledge of modern grain farm machinery to join our hard working team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Min 3 years of hands on farm experience within recent 5 years
Familiar with GPS and Sprayer systems
Farming machinery operating experience required
Class 1A drivers license or equivalent required to drive equipment
Understanding of long farm hours in high season, grain farm practice and expectations
Ability to read gauges, instruments and electronic readout gauges for farm equipment
Carpentry skills an asset
Responsibilities
Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops
Operation of grain trucks during harvest
Operating other farm equipment as Grain Cart and Tractor
Maintain farm machinery and equipment
Cleaning equipment, yard and buildings as needed
General farm labour
Perform other duties as need arises
