Description

The Kinistin  Saulteaux Nation seeks to hire an energetic and enthusiastic individual as their community Justice Coordinator.

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Justice Aspects
-Will liaise between the justice system and the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation Justice Committee
-provide workshops on legal issues
-update and provide resources for the Kinistin Justice Committee
-administer the Alternative Measures and Fine Option Programs

A list of additional responsibilities as assigned may be obtained upon request.

Qualifications
-Must possess knowledge of the criminal justice system and restorative justice
-Must have experience in public speaking
-A good working knowledge of PC Software applications and database management
-Superior interpersonal and motivational skills
-Knowledge of First Nations Government
-Ability to speak Saulteaux is an asset
-Experience working with First Nations people and an understanding of issues encountered by First Nations people
-Must be involved in a healthy lifestyle or willing to take an Oath of Sobriety
-Coaching experience
-Demonstrate ability in a particular recreation, sports or fitness discipline
-Must provide a Criminal Background Check (CPIC) at time of interview
-Must provide a copy of Class 5 Valid Driver's License at time of interview
