Gordon Tootoosis Nknwin Theatre (GTNT) seeks a full-time Circle of Voices Program Coordinator. The focus of this position will be to plan, initiate, and facilitate delivery of the 2017/2018 Circle of Voices (COV) Program. The COV Program Coordinator will maintain ongoing, positive and mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors, partners and supporters of GTNT. This position will assist in building and maintaining GTNTs core cultural program.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, initiate and lead delivery of youth theatre programs;
Prepare activity reports.
Provide Artistic support for COV productions, presentations and special events of GTNT;
Coordinate GTNT theatre programming and community outreach initiatives;
Be willing to commit to evolving duties as requested by supervisor;
Travel is required, and weekend work occur on occasion;
This is an after school program so the candidate must be available late afternoons and early evenings during the week.
QUALIFICATIONS& REQUIREMENTS:
High school education and at least two years college level work or equivalent and at least one year experience working with Aboriginal youth is preferred;
Will consider combination of experience and education in arts & administration;
Previous experience working with Aboriginal organisations is required;
Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills;
Good working knowledge and application of Microsoft suite of products;
Criminal Record Check / Intervention Record Check;
Valid Class 5 Drivers license required.
