Description

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Director of Administration. The incumbent requires a relevant undergraduate degree or diploma and a minimum five years of administrative and management experience in an office setting with a focus on human resources management preferred. Legal firm experience will be considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

The position oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm's office functions, ensuring high quality administrative and logistical services responsive to business needs. In this role you will be part of the senior management team and you will: lead the recruiting process for, and oversee all administrative support staff and deal with human resource matters including employee relations, performance management, retention, and training and development; provide core support in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support firm objectives and management decision making; participate in the development of marketing strategies and tactics; sit on a range of firm-based committees and execute/oversee implementation of committee decisions as required;  act as the first point of contact on all matters related to office operations (e.g. complaints, requests, space and equipment allocations, facilities); oversee the level of service with the outsourced IT provider; and undertake special projects as assigned.

The individual must have the ability to work within a fast-paced, demanding, deadline driven environment while demonstrating adaptability to changing demands and situations.
