Adecco Saskatoon is currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller on behalf of our client, an expanding, well-established distribution / warehousing business in Saskatoon.  In this capacity the incumbent will oversee all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting as well as budget and forecasts preparation.  Our client is looking for a Financial Controller who can undertake financial risk management and overall business strategy and will play a key role on the strategic leadership team.

Key responsibilities of this Financial Controller position include, but are not limited to:
-    Manage and oversee an accounting team of 5 people including assisting in training individuals on various accounting functions and finance matters.
-    Managed all accounting operations including billing, A/P, A/R, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Payroll, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
-    Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
-    Prepare and publish timely monthly financial states and support year end close process
-    Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and maintain compliance.
-    Establish and monitor internal controls and regulatory compliance.
-    Support strategic decisions by means of sound business analysis.
-    Additional Financial Controller related duties as necessary

Professional Experience / Qualifications
-    Minimum 5 years of accounting and finance experience; proven experience as a Financial Controller.
-    Experience within the manufacturing, distribution, warehouse or logistics sectors would be a distinct asset.
-    Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Education
-    Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
-    CPA, CMA or equivalent designation required.
