The Millwright role has a reporting relationship to the Core Trade Lead Hand and/or the Core Trade Foreman and is responsible for ensuring reliability of the facility production capabilities by installing, servicing and repairing a variety of plant equipment.
Installation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of live equipment that can include;
Various styles of pumps (single and multi-stage centrifugal)
Positive displacement (rotary screw, piston, plunger, diaphragm)
Natural gas compressors (piston, screw).
Valves and exchangers
John Crane, flow serve mechanical seals (single and tandem).
Engines (diesel, natural gas).
Solve problems related to flow rates and proper piping techniques.
Conduct vibration analysis, and tribology (oil analysis), and non-destructive testing.
Interpret pump and compressor curves.
Participate in turnaround planning and coordination.
Conduct overhauls and mechanical inspections as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Provincially issued Journeyman Millwright Certificate, or indentured apprentice id number.
Must possess all site specific safety certifications.
