Part-Time Position in the Saskatoon Office
(ANTICIPATORY)
The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and skilled communicator to work as Public Relations and Media Specialist at our Saskatoon office. Under the direction of the Executive Director, you will provide communications advice to the Commission; play the lead role in media relations; and develop and implement communications plans that build support for and awareness of the Commission's new Four Pillar strategic direction. You will have advanced communication software skills with the ability to develop written, web-based and audio-visual public education materials. You will research, write and edit a variety of communications materials including communications plans, news releases, speeches and publications; organize and prioritize a high volume of projects with competing deadlines to consistently produce high quality work; and develop and maintain positive relationships with Commissioners, staff, clients and stakeholders.
Candidates must have completed a post secondary program in Communications, Journalism, or a related field of study with extensive work experience in the communications field; and must have experience in web-based communications, and communications software.
Some travel may be required.
