Description

Summary: The Custodial Engineer is a support position that is supervised by the Health Services Coordinator with overall accountability to the Director of Operations. Responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. He/She will be responsible for custodial services for the Sakimay First Nations Health Centre.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A) Grade 12 education, WHIMIS, First Aid and CPR and/or two (2) years experience in the field;
B) Possess knowledge of cleaning and maintenance methods and techniques for commercial facilities.
C) Possess the physical capabilities to perform commercial cleaning tasks;
D) Be of a pleasant, professional manner as well as be punctual, reliable, and ensure that confidential matters remain confidential.
E) Possess the ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment and products.
F) Possess the ability to develop and maintain an annual cleaning schedule, which determines the timing of tasks, such as stripping and waxing floors, for annual, monthly, and daily cleaning.
G) Be well organized and stay on task in order for the facility to look presentable to the public.
H) Possess the ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision.
I) Be able to prepare minor reports and maintain an inventory system.
J) Be willing to work flexible hours.
K) Possession of a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle would be an asset.
L) Submission of CPIC prior to employment
M) Willing to submit a pre-employment drug screening prior to commencement of employment.
