Our S.E. Saskatchewan Business Unit based in Weyburn is currently looking for a Reclamation Project Manager.
The successful candidate will assist in growing and developing our S.E. Saskatchewan Business Unit. This person will liaison with clients and regulatory bodies as well as act as a technical mentor/trainer to junior staff. The position will involve managing large projects and/or a number of smaller projects primarily based in the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Industry. The position with be both field and office based, and will require some travel.
Knowledge and experience in remediation practices and techniques would be considered an asset.
The position duties will entail but not be limited to:
Project management, completion, mentorship and supervision of reclamation activities, e.g. Pre-Disturbance Assessments, Detailed Site Assessments, Phase I, II and III ESAs, Site Audits and Wellsite Reclamation;
Preparation of consulting reports;
Liaising with regulators, clients and landowners/stakeholders;
Completion of and senior review of reports for QA/QC;
Participation in the on-going improvement of company policy, procedures and protocols (office, field and safety);
Contributing to business development strategies;
Qualifications:
University degree in applied environmental science, soil science etc. or similar;
Working Knowledge of Oil & Gas reclamation issues/sites;
Experienced in plant identification and soil identification/classification;
Have or eligible for a Professional designation (e.g. P.Ag., P. Biol.) or other relevant professional association
Minimum of 2 years of working experience;
Thorough knowledge of environmental legislation applicable to site remediation and reclamation as it applies to the oil and gas industry in Saskatchewan.
Strong organizational and communication skills;
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment;
Valid drivers license is required.
