The Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority is a dynamic and evolving healthcare agency that provides health program support to its four northern partners - Prince Albert Grand Council, Meadow Lake Tribal Council, Lac La Ronge Indian Band, and Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
This position requires a Bachelor?s degree in Psychology or a relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum of 5 years of experience that reflects work in the areas of mental health and addictions. The ideal candidate must possess the following:
? Ability to apply best practices related to models of care, research and trends in the field of mental health and addictions
? Certified in ASIST or CISM or related training and/or be willing to become certified.
? Experience in providing advice and guidance in matters requiring interpretation of practices and standards.
? Provide evidence of previous proposal/policy/framework development.
? Knowledge of community development.
? Be a member of a professional association.
? Completion of a Master?s degree preferred.
? Health experience with working in northern Saskatchewan an asset.
? Ability to complete literature review and make recommendations on policy and standards is and asset
? Proficient in English; both verbal and written communication.
? Experience working in a First Nations organization and/or the ability to speak a First Nations language is an asset.
? A valid Driver?s license and can travel as required.
