The CLINIC MAINTENANCE WORKER will work under the general guidance of the Director of Finance and Administration and under the direct supervision and guidance of the Facilities Supervisor. The Clinic Maintenance Worker will conduct routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on community clinic buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must comply with Canada OH&S Act regulations and code
* Must be capable of handling heavy loads, ladder work, and digging
* Must be able to work independently and with minimum supervision within a team environment
* Good skill in the use of hand and power tools.
* Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver's license
* Must provide a criminal records check with vulnerable sector
* Demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures
